Again, it's been forever...

I'm not even going to promise this time that I will be better at posting. Truth is, I probably won't. For those of you faithful readers, you will just have to bug me to get me to post. Facebook is taking over. It's sooo much easier to post pictures on FB, so I do it more frequently. I'm sorry! Things are going well with the Dunns. I am enjoying being home with my kiddos. Reagan is still a sweet, smart little man (talks a ton)! Miss Aubrey is just about the sweetest little baby EVER. She smiles all the time and just makes my life so easy and enjoyable. Here are some pictures.

First up....pumpkin patch. Meemaw and Papaw Huffer went with us.

He loves his little sister!

Also, loves his hat!

Their first bath together.

Now, Halloween! What a cute penguin! (Mamoo and Papaw Price visited for trick or treating)

Reagan, the dragon!

Aubrey was so tired!

The picture at the top and the new family picture were taken by Marchelle Mosley again. Here is her blog with more pictures to see, and I will post some later when we get them all back too.

Sorry it's been awhile...

It's been way too long since I posted, but I hope these pictures were worth the wait (Facebook friends still get to see them even if I don't post here all the time...this takes a lot longer). Big changes are happening at the Dunn house. I am going to be staying home with the kids starting now. I will be watching 2 little boys full time and another part time. I'm very excited about this new opportunity. I was missing my babies terribly. I hope they enjoy me as much as I plan to enjoy them. Reagan will have a little bit of a time adjusting since he's so used to getting out of the house every day, but I think he will love it, especially since the boys I will be watching will be here for him to play with. He loves that interaction with other kids that I cannot give to him. I will try to post again soon since I will have more time to capture pictures!
My pretty girl

The twins...haha!

She's VERY happy and so laid back. We're pretty lucky!

That expression is very typical for her.

Doesn't this face just scream ornery?!?

Blogging has taken a backseat...

I don't know, maybe it's that I have 2 full-time jobs! In addition to my 40-hour-per-week day job, I moonlight as a mother of 2. And I mean that when I say moonlight. Luckily, Reagan is a great sleeper who sleeps well through the night, but Aubrey is another story. I must say she has gotten better in the last few days, but those first few days back to work were HARD on me. We might have been lucky to get her to go to bed by midnight and then she was up at least once before I had to get up at 5:30am. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with her in my arms, but preferably not past 10pm. Moms (and Dads) just need that time! For 3 nights now, she has been to bed by 9:30 and is only getting up once about 2am. As much as I long for the morning that I wake up to my alarm and realize she has slept through the night, I know I will miss our little cuddling moments in the middle of the night while everyone else is asleep. I try to cherish every moment I have despite the extreme exhaustion.

Enough about the lack of sleep, on to updates about my babies! Reagan continues to be an awesome little boy and a great big brother. In the mornings, with getting everyone ready and out the door, Reagan sometimes doesn't really see Aubrey until they get in the car and are sitting next to each other. One morning, he said "Good Morning Aubrey" like such a little man, and this morning he said "Aubrey I like your dress, it's pretty!" How sweet is he? He can almost say his ABCs which makes me smile so big and get all teary-eyed at the same time. It's a sign my little boy is turning into a big boy. He loves his "John Deere twactors" and always wants to "play barn" with Daddy. He does have 2-year-old moments, but all in all, he is really a sweet boy.

Aubrey is just starting to smile socially, and it's so cute. There are times when I am working pretty hard to get a smile, and she may not smile at me, but she moves a lot, breathes heavy, and you can just see excitement on her face with big eyes! I love it! She just had her 2-month appointment and weighed in at 12 pounds. She is gaining rapidly, just like her big brother did, but she still hasn't caught up to what he was at this age. They are about 3 lbs different (despite being less than 1lb different at birth). She also has some fussy moments, but really, she's a pretty sweet little girl. We jokingly refer to her as the "princess" because she can be a little needy in the evenings, but we love her anyway and know that she could be a whole lot worse.

Overall, life is good in the Dunn house. I mentioned I am back to work, and that is going well. Aubrey and Reagan are both at Michele's house, and I know they are well taken care of. That makes it a lot easier to have to come to work everyday, even though I miss them quite a bit. I interviewed for a full-time permanent position at Dow AgroSciences where I work (right now, just a contractor). That went well, I think. I could use prayers for my patience as I wait to hear about that, as well as prayers for the right decision to be made if I am meant to work at Dow. I would appreciate it.

I will try to post new pictures this weekend of the kiddos.

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY REAGAN!!

We love this little guy so much, such a blessing to our lives.

random...

Miss Aubrey is getting bigger (and cuter if I say so myself) by the day.

Looks like Reagan is trying to get her to go somewhere, and she is saying "no way, bubby!"

Reagan thought it would be fun to bring his fire truck into Jack's cage.
Gotta love the "family bed!" Reagan joined us for cartoons one morning and brought along his tractors.

Does Aubrey look like Reagan?

That, or some variation of it, is a question that I get very often. Last night, Nick was holding Aubrey, and she lifted her head to look at him. I had déjà vu. It was like it was 2 years ago and I was looking at Reagan. I knew that I even had a picture of Reagan in the exact same pose. I quickly snapped a picture and then found the one of Reagan too. Really their only difference so far (which is evident in these pictures) is that Aubrey is much smaller than Reagan was. Oh yea, and her hair is much lighter than his was.

Here's 2 more to compare if you aren't convinced.

Life with 2...

I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, but it's definitely trying at times. Part of me thinks that Reagan is the perfect age to welcome a baby sister, but then there are times when I ask myself "what were we thinking?" For the most part, he is doing really, really well with her. He always wants to kiss her, turn her music on (in her baby seat), and make sure she is covered with blankies 100% of the time. He is even willing to give her his Jack Jack and Bear if she seems sad. I also love that when she cries, and I am busy doing something, he is the first to go to her and tell her "it's ok Aubrey, it's ok baby." I had a feeling that he wouldn't have a problem with this part because he LOVES babies, and he is just an all-around sweet guy. He just amazes me how good he is taking all of this, considering his whole world was just turned upside-down.

Then, there's the 2-year old in him, that I really don't think has anything to do with Aubrey's arrival. The little things seem bigger, I think, when you are caring for 2. It seems Reagan always wants his milk or 'nuit nacks' whenever I sit down to feed Aubrey, and he wants everything right now. He probably gets tired of hearing "in a minute, buddy." He is now into throwing toys, which although it's not a good habit to get into anyway, it's especially bad when the baby could be in the line of flight. He has figured out how to climb onto the back of the loveseat and peek into the kitchen, so we are constantly having to get him down from there. He loves to laugh at you when he is getting in trouble too. By no means, is he doing anything out of the ordinary for an almost 2-year-old, it's just all happening at the same time. We got a 2-year-old and a newborn all at once!

Like I said earlier, we wouldn't trade it for the world. Reagan is an awesome kid (just a little biased) and Aubrey, so far, is a great baby. She's very easy-going and cute too (again only a little biased)! We are so blessed to have our family of 4, and I hope that we can even come close to raising Aubrey to be as loving and sweet as her big brother.

And just because a post wouldn't be complete without a picture, here is Reagan holding Aubrey while he watches TV. Too bad I can't leave them like this and walk away. He would be a great babysitter!

Introducing Aubrey Joyce Dunn

After a long, exhausting induction Aubrey Joyce was born on Saturday, April 18th at 11:32am. She was about 2.5 weeks early because of low amniotic fluid levels. Fortunately, despite the crazy long labor, we were able to avoid a c-section. She was born at a healthy 7lbs 9oz and 19 inches long. We are so blessed and thankful for our beautiful addition to the Dunn family. Here are some pictures of Aubrey and proud big brother, Reagan, who is adjusting well.

Finally Florida and Wedding Pictures

My mom has been nicely reminding me to update our blog ever since we got home from Florida, so I thought I would finally make her happy and get to it. I guess I never know when I could be having this baby (will be 37 weeks on Tuesday), so I should take care of it now. Here are some pictures from the trip:
